  • Is it normal to have acne and be a teenager? are u living in a damn cloud? maybe if you stopped looking at urself for a second ud realize than every other teenager around you has acne.

  • buy the new clearasil ultra

    it works fantastically

  • if your desperate to get rid of them, there’s all kinds of acne products. but if your not, then don’t worry about it. it’s just a stage of life, it’ll eventually go away

  • exercise and a good diet if you exercise and eat right you will have better skin!

  • i really cant tell you nothing else but go to the dermatologist i swear those guys r a hugeeee help! good luck tho i kno i it feels acne can depress you big time

  • clip/tie your hair back as much as possible so it’s out of your face. part of the reason for your acne is that the dirt from your hair is getting in your face, also never touch your face ever!! keep your hands away… the next part is really important: drink 8 glasses of water a day!! it keeps your system clean and completely clears your face :] hope this helped

  • It is quite normal. Have you tried Proactive? It has helped thousands of people. Even Jessica Simpson swears by it. My nephew has used it for a little while now, and I see a tremendous difference. You can get it on QVC!

  • sometimes it’s not from dirt on your face, just from hormones. i think everybody gets acne when they’re a teen ager and let me tell you it doesn’t disappear when you get into your 20s either. i’m 30 and i still wake up with a big honkin spot like mt vesuvius in the middle of my face sometimes. just don’t cover your face with thick makeup, i think some girls use so much facepaint that it clogs up their pores and makes them have millions of little spots if you look close enough. it’s gross. just clean your face with a flannel and some good soap and don’t put greasy stuff on it let it breathe.

  • you know what works, hands down?

    at least, in my experience.

    an antibiotic called erythromycin.

    it’s like a magic pill.

take it and your acne goes away.

at least one drawback, and it’s not a small one:

if you take antibiotics for something as harmless as acne, you risk building up immunity to antibiotics.

so when you REALLY need them to work, for something like a seroius infection, they might not work.

on the other hand, there are many antibiotics. so you might be able to rely on another one if you really need it.

a dermatologist prescribed erythromycin for me. i guess it was his opinion that it was ok.

but i’d get an opinion from a regular doctor.

wanna know an interesting related thing? have your wisdom teeth out, or anything else that requires you to take antibiotics after, and you’ll see your skin clear up magically!

  • ok ok you should get proactiv and put lotion on it everyday most people wont make a big deal and shouldnt

  • Yes. It’s probably because of the oils from your hair. Try Proactive….if nothing else, my mall has a cart in the main area and you can buy individual pcs. Go buy a bottle of just the face wash…it’s $20. Use it twice a day, and I’ll bet by the time you use the whole thing they will be at least better..if not all the way gone.

  • Wash your face in the morning and at night (no more than that!). Try to buy these products- a cleanser[face wash], a gentle scrub, a toner, a moisturizer, and a spot treatment, and a mask of some sort (Queen Helene Mint Mask). I recommend Murad face products or Paula’s Choice or Bellaboo or even Neutrogena/products like that. Drink 8 glasses of water a day and try to keep your hair out of your face. If you need to wear make up wear it as light as possible. You can also see a dermatologist and get Differin.

  • Don’t wash your face 2-3 times a day. The most you need to do in the morning is just splash it with water if you already washed it the night before. You’re actually making it worse.
Go to a dermatologist if it’s really bothering you. Women can even go on the pill to help control acne.

  • ok i found this acne mask recipe on the internet and it reduced the size drastically of my pimples in 2 days!!

    1 tablespoon of honey
    1 tablespoon of cinnamon

you mix those up and apply it to the affected areas before bed. wash off in the morning

    it works wonders!!!!!

  • Umm..firstly…if you are a teenager, It is completely 100% entirely normal to have acne. Acne Is caused by hormone levels shifting, and to a more or lesser degree dirt accumulating in the pores.

So for the first case of the hormone stuff, if you contact your physician and only if you do so first and he agrees with it, you could get hormone balancing pills which usually work pretty good but can be kinda expensive.

The second case of washing your face… by the way be careful with over-washing your face! ESPECIALLY exfoliating and peels. Common myths about these treatments/procedures is that they get rid of wrinkles, pimples and blemishes. But what they really do is that they only peel off the very uppermost layer of skin causing your skin to be free of oil and grime from the day.

The problem with this is in OVER doing this you remove the VITAL oils of your skin, which will cause your skin to to first feel dry and itchy, evntually leading to peeling and possibly scarring. I’d know: i was literally shedding my sideburns and ears (oddly enough) for 2 months. Painful. The same goes with peels, chemical and the other kind.

And about the hair-pimples, there might be a tie, my beard just started coming and i’ve been having pimples on my cheeks, which i never had before. again this could be your hormones.

What I recommend is that you wash your skin when you get up, and before you go to bed, with a nice mild soap/exfoliant ( no alcohol or pumice ), and if need be perhaps during the lunch hour briefly. Much like brushing your teeth. So again what you might want to use: soap, exfoliant, moisturizer (Not a thick, rich one, that might clog your pores even more), and a clean towel.

One last thing. Okay two. 1) Wash your hair. If you’re having pimples along your hairline, it may be the dirt and grease from your hair that’s seeping onto your forehead, and, 2) try to do so in a hot/warm shower, this will not only cause clean your hair more efficiently, but your face too. Hot water is the mortal enemy of bacteria. if you can again don’t overdo it.
same as the exfoliation thing (you dry up)

My parting words to you are to keep up and don’t lose courage, most teens manage to control their acne very well with a lil TLC. Besides they’ll hardly notice it because they have acne too =). It’ll usually calm down after your teen years.
So take care and here’s to healthier skin!
