What is a fast way to get rid of acne?

acne
Tiffy asked:

Does anyone have suggestions to getting rid of acne? I don’t really care for over night remedies because they never work. But, is there anything anyone knows of that would get rid of redness or treat acne. Home remedies or store products are all fine. It just can’t be scented because that kind of stuff makes my face red.

  • Dermantologists can perscribe stronger topical medication and pills if you need it. Differin works wonders :)

  • wel, usually if i have a pimple, i put some toothpaste on it (i use Colgate) and then it gets really small so its not very noticeable. then put another dab on and it goes away. im not sure why it works for me though. i think it will work for you too.

  • make yourself sweat.
when you sweat, it cleanse your pores out.

  • for real im 17 and proactive works really good

  • try not to touch your face without clean hands. Clean and Clear stuff works pretty well too.

  • Use the Aveda line- the cleanser and especially the Acne Pads and the spot treatment. They are very expensive but honestly a lifesaver! I had mild acne and now it’s completely gone. I also have semi-dry skin and it’s the only thing that doesn’t make my skin red! I use it in combination with Clinique gel moisturizer and voila my skin is 100 times better.

  • From my experience from acne, I found that toothpaste works like a wonder. Just use you finger to dab some on the affected area and I can assure you that in two days or less it will be completely cleared up with no scarring. But stay away from the colgate gel (blue) because that leaves major scars.

Well, hoped i helped, and oh, by the way, dont washyou face too hard because that can also cause scarring

  • ok well i really recommend you trying accutane.
I’m an actress in LA and all the celebs are on it.
doctors usually dont give this as an option or even mention it because thy do like to use this as a last result. mostly because it has some scary side effects like liver damage and birth defects if you get pregnant while you are on it.
but seriously.. ive had to battle acne ALL my life.. i had cysts like all over strangers would seriously come up to my mom and say i need to do something about my skin. you go on it for about 5 months.. and trust me.. you will seriously never have a zit again after you go on it. it is a high dose of vit. A and it makes your skin beautiful.. ask your derm. about it… it takes awhile to get on it though,, you have to get your blood drawn once every month you take it for. but it will seriously clear up your skin no ****.

  • Tiffy,

You can apply small amount of pure jojoba oil, the benefits of pure jojoba oil are many. It has a soothing effect, has no unpleasant smell, etc.

  • Human skin consists of many tiny pores. These pores are connected to oil glands. Once these oil glands are blocked by the sedum or dirt substance and infected by bacteria, pimples will break out. Doctors always use benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to kill bacteria in skin pores, and other pills are used to restrict hormone and oil secretion. Those all have some harmful effects on your body. In order to get ride of pimples, you must keep your face clean all times. You can try Chlorella Gel Cleanser. It is made of edible algae and contains vitamins, Carotene, chlorophyll, amine acids, proteins, SOD enzyme, alga polysaccharides . Chlorella Gel Cleanser can clean corneous cells, sebum, sweat, dust, and removes pimples less three days. Besides, you can use Chlorella Nourishment to fade pimple scars.

  • eat healthy and drink plenty of water , and wash your make up off

  • ice helps with the redness.for acne i use burts bees garden tomato complexion soap.its a bar but it works well.

  • The combination of Tea Tree Oil soap and Clindamycin cream is the best for Acne and pimple.
For acne scars and blemishes the best is papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too. Try searching it through Google ’shopaholic’s bargains’

  • I’ve had such bad acne, but I hadn’t been able to stop it until I realized how acne is caused.

Acne is caused by DIRT and OIL.

So, how do you get rid of it?

You get rid of dirt by washing your face with soap. Duh.

But oil stays on the skin, so how do you get rid of the oil?

I fonnd a product by Clean and Clear called Oil-Abosorbing Sheets. They’re about $6 for 50 sheets, including the tax. A picture link as follows:

I’ve cleared up drastically since I started washing and oil absorbing! I saw results in 3 days and great results in 7.

    Good luck! :D

  • Acne is caused by clogged pores which allow bacteria growth. Oils and such are part of the problem but research shows that washing your face constantly won’t do the job. A all natural product that has worked for me and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg is the line by DermaMed. Unlike other products it doesn’t dry out your skin.

  • I have the home remedy to get rid of acne that I now sell. I sell 5 treatments for $15.00. For the first series you would apply the mask once a day (that’ss the 5) then you can order a monthly supply or even buy a yearly supply for $175.00 for the YEAR.
As a preventative you would apply once or twice a week. This is a mask.. and it also takes care of dead skin and large pores.. so if you know anyone that would like a facial mask that works… please spread the word :)

I would urge you to look at my profile and get ahold of me ASAP so we can get you started.

  • spot treatments. but, you better try to prevent rather than just cure later. no such thing as something that will get rid of acne that will last for a long time.

make sure that you have a good skin regime, especially for your skin type. i know it sounds weird, but take in consideration of what ethnicity you are from, to know what usually works for that type of skin. it can make a huge difference.

    1. cleansers should be something you use twice a day. cream cleansers seem to work better for oily and acne prone skin.

    2. moisturize! i know how people with acne think that moisturizer will clog pore and add oil, but that is a lie. if you cleanse your face enough, the oils will not mix with any ingredients in the moisturizer. Hydrating the skin is essential. if you don’t, then your skin will become tight and red. it will also be stressed, your skin should feel a lot better after applying some moisturizer. use moisturizer right after cleansing (and depending on the dryness of your skin apply during the day).

    3. treatments are usually a must, no matter what skin type. what is a treatment? its a mask. you should use a mask to completley clear pores when you have oilier skin during the summer. Then use a moisturizing mask during the colder harsher winter conditions. masks should be used about every week or so

    4. exfoliation is something you must do if you dont want dull old looking skin. exfoliating will eliminate dead skin revealing newer skin. After exfoliating, skin should feel much softer. Exfoliate once or twice a week.

if you have a good skin regime, there will be no need for spot treatments or quick tricks.

  • Hello

There are some great ways that can help you to get rid of your acne.
here are some tips that were helpful for me to treat my acne:

    Water

Drink a lot of water every day. Try drinking at least two liters of still mineral water. If the skin becomes dehydrated, dead skin cells are not effectively shed, which can lead to blocked pores and further acne.

    Sunshine and fresh air

Sunshine stimulates the creation of vitamin D in our body – an important vitamin for healthy skin. A little bit of fresh air and sunshine every day will also reduce the stress and increase oxygen to the skin. Even when it’s overcast, the sun’s rays reach us, so it’s very good to take a short walk outside every day.

Reduce your intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates

There is recent research pointing the finger at diet – eating refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, rice, flour etc) and sugar leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This grease-like substance encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne.

Refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne

    The bed sheets

Keep your bed sheets clean. Wash your pillow case on a regular schedule to reduce the transfer of the natural body oils.

    Wash your face

Wash your face only one time a day. Don’t over wash , because that will cause only more production of oil on your skin. another option is to use very gentle cleansers for normal skin that don’t dehydrate the skin and wash twice a day.

Anyhow, don’t go out and buy those “get rid of your acne in one day” pills that you can find anywhere online, they just don’t work and you will waste hundreds of dollars for nothing.

Why not? Well, because it takes time to cure acne and you will need at least one week to see any noticeable results. There is absolutely no way to get rid of your acne in only one day.

If you really want to treat your acne there are two recommended methods that should combined together (if you can afford it) for best results.

Firstly and more important in my opinion and experience, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that’s causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.
There are only few good Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to treat your acne from the inside.

Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their programs they share their great knowledge with other acne sufferers. In any case, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.

The second thing that you need to do is to get good acne skin product that will be suitable for your skin.
There are hundreds of acne skin care products available in the market right now and it’s not easy to choose the product that will give you the best results.
When choosing your product make sure to check that you get at least 2 months full guarantee. Some of the big names in the industry are:
ClearPores, Acuzine, Acnezine, Proactiv, Vilante and some others.
